Maroon 5 Hits Singapore with Hands All Over
Maroon 5 and their trademark soulful pop grooves will return to play at Singapore Indoor Stadium on Monday, 25 April 2011, in support of their latest album, Hands All Over.
Based in Los Angeles, Maroon 5 is Adam Levine, Jesse Carmichael, James Valentine, Mickey Madden and Matt Flynn. Since their breakthrough album, 2002’s Songs about Jane and 2007’s It Wont Be Soon before Long, the band has sold more than 15 million albums worldwide and garnered three Grammy Awards.
Their all-time recognisable hits include “This Love,” “She Will Be Loved,” “Harder to Breathe,” “Sunday Morning,” and “Makes Me Wonder”. The latest single “Misery” was nominated at the 53rd Grammy Awards.
The band was first founded in 1994 as Kara’s Flowers but was later reformed as Maroon 5 to signify a new direction. They have drawn wide range of influences in their early years, from Nirvana, Pearl Jam and the ilk to Stevie Wonder, Prince and the Police.
Reminiscent of their heavy touring schedule in support of their second album, Maroon 5 is set to play the world with Hands All Over. Singapore is the 2nd stop in the Asian leg of their tour.
