The logo is made up of 2 letters, namely B and E. B refers to the Broadcasting wing of the club and E refers to the Entertainment wing. Together, they form the name of the club, BE.
The shadowed 'B' represents the 'behind the scenes' backstage crew, the unsung heroes of any show, supporting entertainers and broadcast talents. That is also evident where the shadowed B is strategically placed below the 'E', to support it. The E on the other hand, shrouded in oval limelight, mirrors the entertainers as the soul of shows - shining in the limelight, with a glittering spot at the end.
The linking pin between the B and E is the crux of the club's concept, which symbolizes the close relationship between the divisions, as broadcasting talents and entertainment artistes/crew work hand in hand to create synergy and together the letters slope upwards, symbolic of the club striving towards greater heights.
The colours, dark blue and gold are SMU's corporate colours. As a part of SMU, this gives the club a sense of belonging and identity. Dark blue, chosen for the B, represents the professional nature of the broadcasting division that portrays itself with class and steadiness. The E on the other hand, in classic matt gold colour, represents the glamour and style that comes with the job. The white E within the gold represents the pure undaunted passion of the club's members towards entertainment. Holistically, the logo portrays the classic, classy, professional and executive look that the club hopes to achieve.
The fun logo, created for the club's informal occasions and celebrations, aims to portray the 'fun' side of each club member. The logo, variation of the primary logo, depicts similar values that were created for the logo. However, it changes from classic gold to hip turquoise, which represents the vibrancy and the liveliness of the club. The dark blue changes to contemporary grey, which symbolizes the change in attitudes to match the fast changing world of entertainment. Holistically, the fun logo gives the club a totally different feel and look that brings out the vivacity and synergy between the broadcasting and entertainment divisions.
